SUMMARY:ASDEFCON and Defence Procurement Review Survey - open until 28 February 2021
DESCRIPTION:Defence is conducting a review of the ASDEFCON suite of tendering and contracting templates and relevant Defence procurement processes and practices. While the ASDEFCON suite of tendering and contracting templates have been continually updated since their release in 2002\, Defence is conducting the review to ensure they remain relevant\, contemporary and represent best practice. Following initial input from Defence industry\, some of the areas to be reviewed include simplifying and streamlining the ASDEFCON contracting templates; and removing complexity and onerous flow-down obligations that lead to additional cost and risk to the suppliers. \nThe main method to provide input into the review is via completion of an online survey. This will allow you to potentially influence the content\, direction and continual improvement of the ASDEFCON suite of tendering and contracting templates and Defence’s procurement processes going forward. All users of the ASDEFCON templates and Defence’s procurement processes (including procurement\, commercial\, legal\, engineering\, technical\, project management and logistics personnel) are encouraged to contribute to the Review. Input to the Review is open to industry\, Defence and other Government agencies. Industry does not have to be in contract with Defence to be able to contribute. \nThe survey consists of a range of general questions\, questions that are focussed at industry only and other questions that are focussed at the Commonwealth only.  The range of questions that are provided to you in the survey are determined by identying yourself as a Defence employee\, or not\, at the beginning of the survey.  Preview all the questions here. \nTo complete the survey go to the ASDEFCON and Defence Procurement Review section of the publicly available ASDEFCON website. \nThe survey is open until 28 February 2021. \n
