Defence Procurement Manual and Defence Commercial Framework to replace existing systems

Defence has announced that that a new format Defence procurement Manual (DPM) will replace the Defence Procurement Policy Manual (DPPM) in March 2021. The new look DPM will be an online procurement tool which provide direction on how Defence complies with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and other Commonwealth procurement requirements without duplicating them, and will contain Commercial Endorsements, Approvals and Requirements (EARs) Directives, six procurement life cycle phases with descriptions of subordinate elements to each phase, and links to overarching policy and subordinate guidance. EARs define Defence specific procurement directives not already covered by the CPRs or AAIs.

The Defence Procurement Policy Framework is being renamed the Defence Commercial Framework to reflect the broader scope now covered.

Defence staff and contractors interested in attending the information sessions are required to register by COB 4 February 2021. Registrations will be managed using Eventbrite via the link
