Defence Research Collaboration Security Framework (DRCSF)

On 18 May 2020 the Chief Defence Scientist, Dr Tanya Monro, signed off on the Defence Research Collaboration Security Framework through DST Group Instruction 03/2020 and issued the Defence Research Collaboration Security Guidebook.

The Defence Research Collaboration Security Framework (DRCSF) will ensure that Defence security protections and those applied by our collaborators are contemporary and aligned with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and the Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF), with security mitigations appropriate to the research being conducted. These arrangements are necessary to ensure that:
a. research sensitivity and security risks are understood;
b. our collaborators are provided advice on the protections required for the collaboration; and
c. defence and national security technology advantages, capability and investment are not compromised.

The DST Group Instruction and the Guidebook are accessible to Active DICA Members in the Defence Reference Material page under Industry Programs in the Library. Simply log into the DICA website.
