Dr Susan Pond, Adjunct Professor at University of Sydney and Chair of A/AA’s Australian Initiative for Sustainable Aviation Fuels (AISAF) is a finalist in the Innovation Category for The Australia Financial Review and Westpac Group 100 Women of Influence. Susan joined 100 influential women in the areas of Business, Public Policy, Management, Social Enterprise, Diversity and Philanthropy.
Fellow finalists in the Aviation industry include Belinda Hutchinson, Chairman, QBE Insurance Group, Deanne (Dee) Gibbon, Director Implementation Team, Review into the Treatment of Women in Australian Defence Force, Royal Australian Air Force and Young Leader category, Kimberly Abbot, Engineer, Thales Australia.
As Chair of AISAF, Dr Pond is building a long-term future of aviation powered by sustainable fuels and a major new industry in Australia. Susan is also Vice President of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and Board Member of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation and Innovation Australia.
